Leucorrhoea ka single main cause hota hai:
👉 Infection or irritation of the female genital tract

Lekin ye infection/irritation alag-alag factors ki wajah se hota hai. Mai detail me explain karta hu:

1. Infections (Most Common Cause)

Yahi sabse zyada responsible cause hai.

🦠 (A) Fungal infection – Candida albicans (Yeast infection / Thrush)

Sabse common cause.

Yeast naturally vagina me hota hai, lekin jab immunity weak ho jaye ya antibiotics zyada use hon to yeast grow kar jata hai.

Discharge: Thick, white, curd-like.

Symptoms: Severe itching, burning, redness.

🦠 (B) Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)

Normally vagina me “good bacteria” (lactobacilli) hote hain jo acidic environment banate hain.

Jab balance disturb ho jata hai → harmful bacteria grow karte hain.

Discharge: Thin, grayish-white.

Special sign: Strong fishy odor.

🦠 (C) Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

Trichomoniasis (protozoa infection) → frothy, greenish discharge with bad smell.

Chlamydia / Gonorrhea → yellow pus-like discharge, pelvic pain, fever.

2. Hormonal Imbalance

Estrogen hormone zyada ho jaye to cervical glands zyada mucus banati hain.

Ye milky white discharge ka common reason hai.

Ye mostly puberty, pregnancy, ya ovulation ke time hota hai.
👉 Ye harmless hota hai (physiological leucorrhoea).

3. Cervical / Uterine Problems

Cervical erosion (garbhashay ke muh par zakhm) → watery discharge.

Polyps / Fibroids → continuous discharge.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) → pus-like discharge + pelvic pain.

4. Poor Hygiene / Lifestyle Factors

Tight synthetic underwear, sweating, garmi, safai ki kami → infection ka chance barhta hai.

Foreign body (e.g. forgotten tampon, copper T/IUCD) bhi foul smelling discharge cause kar sakta hai.
